You Are The Reason feat. Devon Wright
Rearrange feat. Iman
Klasey Jones returns once more for another solid outing on Terrorhythm in the shape of the 6 track "Arrival" E.P.
The term retro futurism is thrown around in music all too much, but if any artist embodies that term it is Klasey, and never more so than on "Arrival" - an E.P. which scores themes of love and exploration through space and time, beautifully illustrated on Mizucat's excellent artwork that fans have become so enamoured with.
With his inspiration deeply rooted in strains of RnB, Electronica and Rap, it's fitting that "Arrival" feels like the artist has found his feet with vocal features for the first time on his works. You Are The Reason featuring Devon Wright feels hi-tech in it's production tones, with Devon's vocal performance reminiscent of the 80's new romantic era. The romantic appeal and themes run throughout, with references to Klasey's intergalactic search for love on "Starship Love" and "Brentwood Affair" rounded off with a sultry RnB performance from Iman which has been chopped and screwed to perfection on "Rearrange".
Arrival feels like an exploration in sound from Klasey and the title suggests he has found solace in expressing his music alongside vocals, we're excited to see what the next stop will be on his intergalactic journey.

I saw that a 10” had come out for this album which had been lost in my ever growing want list. I thought the art was really nice so I switched on the first song. Before it had finished I had my card and made one of the best impulse decisions of my life.
This album is exactly what I needed. The synth sounds brought me to many places as I kept the album on repeat throughout the week.
The vinyl is excellently pressed and is one of the best records in my collection. The art holds up and looks super clean in matte. I just wish the songs were ordered correctly but never the less it sounds super clean. I will definitely be back to pick up “End Game” if and when that gets pressed on vinyl. tomatopaste
To be honest i dont really have a favorite track cause all 7tracks are too well made, the reason i chose VICTORY is cause i saw a review on this album says its the weakest, but defi not on my opinion.
Ive went through lot of synthwave music and really non of them sound like knightsabers☝🏼👆🔥
It took me about 3 listens before I think I "got" the appeal of wave music. Eventually I started to appreciate the dark atmosphere, minor keys, and piercing beats. I liken the whole experience to being underwater while the world above you thrives in chaos; under the surface, everything seems softer, muted, and ominous, but that doesn't mean you want to go up just yet.
